WEB SITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
With the Web as pervasive as it is today, a Web site is an essential asset for businesses of all sizes. In addition to mass-mailings and advertisements, a Web site can serve as an incredibly informative tool, allowing quick and easy access to information about your business, your products or services, and your contact information.
The key to creating a successful Web site is to not only make it look pretty, but make it functional, too. I strive to find the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, because in the end, the whole purpose of the Web is finding information. To accomplish this, my services include:
My development process begins with an interview and a questionnaire. From there, I take the information you provide and create site outlines and a development proposal. Once we agree on the work and price, I have you sign a contract and ask for a deposit. I then complete several design mock-ups, present them to you for review, make any necessary modifications, and begin the final design and coding process.
Once a Web site is completed, it needs to be hosted on a server. Some businesses will be able to host "in-house," meaning they already own a Web server, while others will require an outside hosting vendor. When the latter is true, I will work with you to determine the best vendor for your needs.
Time, prices, and services vary with each project. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
COMPUTER NETWORKING, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION, AND SUPPORT
If you are like most small or medium businesses (SMBs), then you need technology for many day-to-day tasks. Whether you require simple systems for email, and file management, to full-scale networks for many users, file sharing, and integrated applications, I can create a customized solution to fit your needs.
In addition to the design and installation of networks, I also provide administration and maintenance services. I can configure your network to be remotely serviceable via the Internet allowing regular maintenance at a low cost. This also has the advantage of allowing maintenance to be completed at night or on weekends, saving your employees the hassles and downtime that can arise from network maintenance during business hours.
My networking process is quite similar to my Web development process. It begins with an interview and questionnaire. From there, I take the information you provide and conduct some preliminary research. I will then meet with you to discuss the networking options. Once we agree on the materials, work, and price, I have you sign a contract and ask for a deposit. From there, I will work to acquire any necessary hardware and software, and set everything up as agreed.
I have experience with various operating systems including Windows, Windows Server, Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server, and various GNU/Linux distributions. I am also proficient in various mail systems, Acronis and Norton utilities, directory systems, and network security policy creation.
Time, prices, materials, and services vary with each project. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
